It's nice to feel inspired to write, but most days I write to find inspiration. By which I mean that it is very easy for me to delay beginning until the "perfect" solution presents itself, but I would waste whole days and weeks if that was my model. Instead, I get down to it and often, in writing the wrong thing, the right thing comes to me. It's the best feeling I know, and then I'm off to the races.
