I really, really, really want to learn more about the Presger. Please tell me that's something you're thinking about for your next work?

Ann Leckie I might bring the Presger Translators onstage again, if only because they're just so fun to write. But I will probably never bring the Presger themselves onstage. I know more about them than made it into the books, but I think exploring them too closely might end up making them less interesting, actually.

I am reading Ancillary Justice a second time now, only 4 months after having first read it, something I have never done before since I started reading with Heinlein's Red Planet in the 1960s. AJ is Marvellous and even better on second reading. Thank you for sharing your gift with us, Ms Leckie. My question: When you first conceived AJ, did you envision a trilogy? When did you realise it would be?

How do you feel when you hear people describe your book as challenging? Are you glad you stretch people's comfort zones or do you regret that some readers may find Ancillary Justice "too hard"? (I for one, found it a fascinating read.)

The way things and individuals are named and the differences between naming conventions in different areas speaks a lot to the idea of colonization and decolonization, and it would be interesting to know more about how you approach those things.
