I loved the Sookie series, but its not something I could let my thirteen year old daughter read, which is why I was THRILLED when I read the first two Midnight books and found I could pass one of my favorite authors on to my daughter. I know you have to write to your audience, and sex is just part of the expectations anymore. My question is, will the third Midnight installment be scaled back like the first two?

Sex is not a primary focus in the Midnight books, the way Sookie's sexual awakening was in her series. But the final Midnight book does contain a sex scene. You will have to read it ahead of your daughter and decide if it's appropriate.
