Goodreads asked L.W. Turek:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

L.W. Turek My advice for aspiring writers is to write what makes you happy. Don't worry about being "great". Just enjoy the process. Once you're in the creative routine of writing and want to improve your craft, there are many books to help guide you in developing characters and plot. One that has been very helpful for me is "The Breakout Novelist" by Donald Maass.

I once said I wanted to be an artist, and my friend asked, "Do you paint?" I said, "Yes, of course." He said, "Then, you are an artist."

Pursue what you are passionate about.
