Tori De asked this question about The Dragonet Prophecy (Wings of Fire, #1):
At first glance this book turns me off (mostly the dragons--the covers do not give them justice, making them look cheap and marketed instead of the true majesty they are supposed to be). Is the plot much more than what meets the eye? Or do we have rude, rebellious characters and prophecy plot devices akin to what is common in fantasy books these days? Are the characters dragon-like (unique enough)?

Only MudWings looks like crocodiles and they're SUPPOSED TO. It literally says in their description that they are similar to crocodiles and there's a character named Crocodile. RainWings do NOT look like crocodiles, neither do SeaWings (have you EVER seen a BLUE crocodile with GILLS and GLOWING SCALES???)

If I go along with your line of thinking, then NightWings must be crocodiles that has psychic powers and black scales. And IceWings must be albino crocodiles that has icicles glued to their backs. And SandWings must be crocodiles that lives in the desert and have scorpion tails. Don't be an idiot and at least look at the covers of all the books if you really can't do anything but judge this series by the covers!

I'm sorry for this vehement reply, but this is my favourite series you're talking about. Also, since you had said "dragons" in your question, I assumed you meant that all the dragon types look like crocodiles. And to be honest, the thought of anyone thinking that a RainWing look like a crocodile really infuriates me. Just search "RainWings Wings of Fire" up on Google or something and compare that to a winged crocodile!(less)
