Where potty training is learning a spell - do newborn babies wear diapers/nappies? Are they cleaned by other spells? I know at least once you had an injured person glad to wake up in time to do the spell, so I infer that there was a chance others couldn't do it for her.

This actually gets covered in a couple of books. Basically, babies wear diapers until they master the spell. They are cleaned regularly, and the cleaning clothes and diapers dunked in buckets with the water filter spell on them--the same way dishes, etc. are cleaned.

Crown Duel is one of my favorite books! I know the new editions are "re-edited" and there seems to be a lot of re-wording and re-phrasing. Why was that done and what was the impetus behind the re-editing? Were you aiming to change the tone or feel of the text? Were other, bigger changes made? I've read (and reread) the old Firebird edition and loved it and never noticed any issues, so I'm very curious. Thanks so much!
