(view spoiler)[I know that "Malachai" is always plural because he's, like, the sum of all evil. But why is the Sephiroth singular and not plural? How is he different from the Malachai? Is he not "the sum of all good" since they are supposed to balance each other? (hide spoiler)]

Malachai isn't always plural. It's used as both, like deer or fish. As for Sephiroth, no. Jared isn't and never was the sum of all good. He was one of many Sephirii. There was an entire army of them at one time. They were a division that served the primary gods. As were the Malachai. But the Malachai has become plural because the son absorbs the powers of the father and the "essence" of him when he kills him to take his place. Thereby the single Malachai has become many over the centuries. Whereas Jared is still the same Sephiroth who was there in the very beginning. Since he doesn't birth sons and hasn't been replaced, he's a single entity and doesn't have the powers of others of his kind. Hugs!

When I read Ash's book, it completely just broke my heart about how he was in the -before- years, what made you want to write one about Styxx? I haven't read it yet (pick it up this weekend), but I'm having mixed feelings about reading it. I don't know that I want to like him! :)

In Son of No One, Thorn mentionned losing Caleb to the other side during the war against the Malachai, which I guess would be the moment Caleb became enslaved. But that was a thousand years ago and Caleb of CON said that Nick's FATHER enslaved him. So Nick's father was at least a thousand years old before he died?
