Hi, I am a huge fan of you Princess of the Midnight Ball series. I really loved the story line. How you wrote it made me feel like I was part of your story. I loved them. I was wondered what your inspiration was for writing the books, who is your favorite character, and did any characters represent you? Thank you for your time and I would love to hear back. ~Lauren

Hi! Thanks, I'm glad you liked them so much!
Let's see: I originally set out to just do the Twelve Dancing Princesses, because I've always loved that story but there are several conflicting versions, and also if you really think about it, it's very horrible. They dance all night until their shoes wear out? OUCH. Also, every prince who tries and fails to find out where they're going is executed, and over two dozen try, but they just keep dancing! Weird, right? Once I'd written Midnight Ball, I decided I wanted to do a story where they had to dance again (because in the original it says, And they lived happily ever after, and they never danced again), and so I thought of another fairy tale with dancing in it: Cinderella. And it just went from there. Poppy is technically my favorite, because she is the most like me, with her sarcasm, but I do also like writing about Galen. There's more info on each of the books if you look on my website!

Okay, this is not a question, but I wanted to tell you how much I ENJOYED Dragon Slippers. I read DS in 3 1/2, I would have to force myself to close the book and get some sleep. Thank you for writing the not-your-typical dragon story. Have already started the second, Dragon Flight and then on to the 3rd. Again, thank you so much. :) (The prompt said that I had to have a question mark . . . ?
