Have you watched the Phantom of the Opera movie that was made by Andrew Lloyd Webber? What are some of the inspirations that you have gotten besides the book? Will the Phantom in your novel be as ugly as he is portrayed in the novel?

Hi! Yes, I've watched the Phantom of the Opera movie, and attended the musical. I've also read the original Gaston Leroux book and Phantom by Susan Kay several times for character and setting inspiration.

This is not a question but I just wanted to say something? I absolutely love your YA books! I'm reading the splintered series right now and I am obesessed thanks to the ladies at my local bookstore! I love the printed signature bookmarks you sent them ( they gave me a few)! They are the best books I've read in quite a while. I have never been hooked on a book 2 pages into it... until I picked up splintered. Thank you!
