Hello miss/mrs. Funke, I have a couple questions about the ink heart series for you if that's alright. 1. Who's your favorite? (Mines Farid!) 2. Are planning to write any more books for the inkheart series? 3. What inspired you to become an auther? 4. Are you ever going to come to Canada for a book reading/ book signing/etc I love all you books, Kailyn

Hi Kailyn!
First of all - Please call me Cornelia!:)
1. I have no favorites in the Inkworld - for me they are all a wonderful ensemble!:) But I am aware that most of my younger female readers love Farid!:)
2. I am currently writing a sequel, set 5 years later. I hope I get the first part into readers' hands by the end of next year. I call it THE COLOR OF REVENGE
3.That I was a very bored illustrator:)
4. I LOVE to come to Canada.( and I went several times for events) So yes,I hope I'll be back next year!
thank you for traveling in my imagination, Kailyn!
love from Los Angeles,
Cornelia

Cornelia Funke:
Having read many of your books, I would like to ask you if you emphasize on character, plot or emotional development more as you write. Also, is there some metaphorical meaning that you intend to convey to your readers, or is it just my misconception? Finally, I would be very obliged if you could explain to me how you manage humour, for you rarely make use of slapstick comedy.

You are one of my favorite authors. Your writing is, as the 9th Doctor would say, fantastic! (Yeah, I'm a Whovian, too) I'm glad you think that. Truth was, I thought that mailman was important. Everyone's important. I was just afraid of sounding silly, but I should've known that there's no shame in thinking that. And I'm happy to hear that he ended up just fine. What about Tink after the Shadow's victims became ash?
