Having read many of your books, I would like to ask you if you emphasize on character, plot or emotional development more as you write. Also, is there some metaphorical meaning that you intend to convey to your readers, or is it just my misconception? Finally, I would be very obliged if you could explain to me how you manage humour, for you rarely make use of slapstick comedy.

O i am blushing in California, so much, that you probably see the sky redden above you:) Thank you so very much and please tell your sister I send a fierce hug! And Harper Lee...I don't think I ever received a more flattering comparison. You made my Sunday god studded with diamonds.
As for your questions...I don't approach writing with an analytical mind. I want my subconscious and everything I may know, but don't know that I do, seep into the story. I want it to tell things the world wants me to tell. I try to catch the beauty and the terror of the world in my words, so that all my readers find their own questions, fears and hopes in my stories. I am word fisher...for the others who don't have those words or didn't find them so far. Hope that makes sense?:)

Hi Cornelia, Where do you get inspiration for creating worlds like the Inkworld? You describe it so vividly! I also just wanted to thank you for your books. Your stories brightened my childhood and I often go back to reread them whenever I need something to liven up my day. I will forever be appreciative of the worlds you create and the inspiration to write that you've given me. Thank you so much, Monica
