Were you very nervous before your first novel came out? My first is out in a couple weeks and I'm a wreck!

Glynnis Campbell Congratulations! No, I actually wasn't nervous at all, because I was traditionally published at first, so I had an experienced editor, a copy editor, a cover designer, and a long-established publishing company to make sure everything was right before my book released. Now that I'm indie, however, I'm not so confident. I'm still going over things with a fine-tooth comb, but I'm taking more chances with my writing and my covers, the marketing is entirely up to me, and reviewers can sometimes be blunt. Nonetheless, I'm always giving it my best shot, and I have to believe that my readers are still wanting to hear my stories. As long as your marketing is in place, try not to stress over it, and start thinking about your NEXT book!
