Why did you choose to write historical fiction mostly set in Scotland? Are you of Scottish descent?

Glynnis Campbell I'm of mixed descent--mostly Welsh, German, and Native American--no Scottish as far as I know. But I've always had a "calling" to the U.K. My first stories were set in England, and I became fascinated with the curious hostilities between the English and the Scots along the Borders, which made for interesting conflicts between heroes and heroines. I married a Campbell, and his love for his roots was a big influence. After several visits, I've fallen in love with the rugged country and its friendly folk!
