I just absolutely loved the character of Nerit from "As the world ends" series! How did you do your research? Or is the lovely Lady based on a real life character?

Nerit just popped into my head, but I have known several women who were former IDF sharpshooters. They're all younger than Nerit and none of them looked like her, but that's probably where the seed was planted. I always do research when I'm uncertain of various aspects of my character's lives.
