This question contains spoilers…
(view spoiler)[I really enjoyed the first two books and I am eagerly awaiting the third one. My one main issue with Knight's Shadow is how the rape of Falcio's wife is used as motivation for his character (such an overused fantasy trope) and graphic nature of the sexual violence in the book (more than the first). Has Falcio really put the past behind him and will future installments continue to dwell on this sexual violence? (hide spoiler)]

Hi Joanne,
Thanks for writing and I'm delighted to hear you're enjoying the Greatcoats series.
To answer your question: No, there's no graphic sexual violence in subsequent books in the series as it's planned out. However, Aline never stops being a factor in Falcio's life, either. Both her life and her death are too central to who he is as a person to disappear entirely.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Regards,
Sebastien

Afternoon Sebastien, I was just curious if there are any differences between the UK and the US versions of the Spellslinger series besides the cover? I live in the US but I absolutely love the UK card inspired hardcover. I was going to try to get my hands on the UK version as long as there are no differences within the story. Thank you for your time!

This isn't even a question, so I'm sorry if that annoys you, but I wanted to say I think your books are amazing. I just finished Knight's Shadow (literally just finished - what, a minute ago?) and it was incredible. I love the complexity and differing shades of morality and all of the different characters. I don't have much more to say (I'm not particularly eloquent when sending stuff to amazing authors apparently).

I have been obsessed with the Greatcoats books and was wondering if you have ever read the Locke Lamora series? Your masterful books have the same feel of danger and adventure, along with characters that use their minds as well as fighting skills to survive. Both series felt very similar me when I was reading them, and I can't wait to see what you have planned next.
