I remember being really blown away by the quote that explains the title, but couldn't find it after within the massive 700 pages. Can anybody relate the context in which the title is explained in the book?
Susannah I believe it refers to 3 things: 1) right before the episode with Caleb (in my opinion the most painful and hardest to read part of the book), Jude is…moreI believe it refers to 3 things: 1) right before the episode with Caleb (in my opinion the most painful and hardest to read part of the book), Jude is weighing the pros and cons of keeping his "little" life (i.e. one without an adult romantic relationship) or opening it up to include people outside his immediate circle of trust 2) Brother Luke tells him he has to show "a little life" during the sex he is forced to have with the clients while being trafficked (huge gut punch) and possible a third meaning 3) this book feels like a life and world unto itself that you inhabit until you finish. The experience of reading the book is a small life in itself.(less)
