Cavak I was under the impression that since Oliver was born illegitimate, poor, and isolated from his father, his early life still would have been pretty bad. Agnes didn't have contact with Mr. Brownlow, Monks, or Rose before her death, so it's hard to tell if the happy ending would have come around as it did if she had lived.

His mother would have been by his side, but it's difficult to tell if she would have been a good or caring mother since she didn't have much characterization. It's a tough call there.
إسراء I wonder ! I would love to read an alternative novel for Oliver Twist in which his mother lives and affects his livelihood. I want to see how will she integrate in the society, how will the 19th century England society perceive her and Oliver. What are the chances for him to prosper in fortune and social status with his sinful mother alive. Of course, the novel is originally written for the public and I conceive that pleasing the readers is a priority to Charles, therefore the he will find a way to wrapping up the story happily.
