Yes, I do experience writer's block. For me, writer's block is when my characters go silent in my head. That is typically an indicator that I've taken a wrong turn in the novel. I usually take a break and then come back, reread my manuscript and try to figure out where I need to make a change.
I do put tiny parts of myself into my characters and books.
I have always loved to make up stories in my head, but I didn't write my first story until about five or six years ago. S.E. Hinton's The Outsiders was a huge inspiration!

Hey Katie! I’m completely obsessed with your Thunder Road series, I’m currently reading Long Way Home! I was wondering if you ever thought about the books becoming movies? Or would you rather just keep them book? I fell in love with the Thunder Road Series, it would be interesting to see what’s the characters would look like in real life :)
