Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Laura Bennet Reading the story of babies killed in Bethlehem gripped me one day. I realized that we read Bible stories like they are fiction, but they're not. These are real people who lived with actual situations just like we do each day. I wondered what it would have been like if I had been one of those mothers whose child was slain in such a brutal, unexpected way. I felt as if I had to tell the story of one such woman who suffered trauma, heartbreak and ensuing bitterness. And Jesus was the reason! Wow! How would I deal with that? That's Rachel's story.
