Stephanie Christiano asked Elizabeth Gilbert:

Elizabeth Gilbert I loved writing THE SIGNATURE OF ALL THINGS. I got my start as a fiction writer, but I had been away from fiction for more than 12 years, and I didn't know if I could still do it. It was like a homecoming to me! I'd forgotten how much fun it is to have complete dominion over a world, and over the characters in that world — to be able to control the story completely. It was hard, but it was joyful. As for what I would add or change about SIGNATURE, my answer is: Nothing. I could tell you all sorts of stuff that's wrong with it, but I don't want to go back and fix anything. Its many imperfections just make me feel more affectionate toward it.
