Purple porpentine
Purple porpentine asked Jonathan Stroud:

What is George's favourite type of doughnut?

Jonathan Stroud Ooh, he likes all flavours. Probably, if pushed, he'd go for the classic English kind - i.e. covered in sugar, with a hidden glop of jam at its heart.

Treat Bedford
Treat Bedford asked Jonathan Stroud:

Are you currently working on any other series?

Jared
Jared asked Jonathan Stroud:

I'm a massive fan, and my first novel will be released in May. Your books make me feel unworthy to be a writer. The worlds and characters that you create are so deep and rich. In both Bartimaeus and Lockwood, the settings take on a life of their own. How do you do that? Do you do research? Do you go out for a walk and take notes? Or does it all come straight from your head?Tell us your secrets!

Karen Niedzwiecki
Karen Niedzwiecki asked Jonathan Stroud:

Also - does the voice of Bartimaeus ever pop into your head and demand to be written down - or has he definitely moved onward - and forevermore out of your head?
