Hi Juliet! I know this mighty sound stupid but in your book The Adar Mirror, were the Gaels the Scottish or Irish ones? Thank you :)
Juliet Marillier
Hi Dee. You mean The Dark Mirror? It's set in the mid 6th century at the time when Irish Gaels moved into / invaded what is now the west coast of Scotland - then part of the Pictish kingdom. So the Gaels in the story are the Irish ones who later became Scottish ones, if that makes sense! Most of the action of the story takes place in the kingdom of the Picts, though in the third book of the series, The Well of Shades, part of the action is in Ireland.

I just have to say how much I adore your writing. You are and will ever be my favorite author. I started with Bridei Chronicles, The Dark Mirror and have been enamored ever since. I did want to ask if you will be coming to the US in the near future? So many fans over here, we would love to see you!

Hi Juliet! I hope you and your family are doing fine in these challenging times. Your books, especially the first 2 of the Sevenwater series are my favourite of all times and I have read most of you work. In fact, my first tattoo is a bee in my right wrist like Bran! I was wondering, has the pandemic afect your work and writing process in any way? I find myself feeling less creative. Best regards from Portugal!

Just finished cybele’s secret and I so wish there was another book! Is this something you may self publish? I think this series came out right before these types of books got huge! I love the story of the sisters and the other world and the romance!! What an amazing read to both! I started wildwood dancing when I was 14 and I wish I knew there was a second book back then! Not enough advertisement went throughs it!
