Mary Rossiter
Mary Rossiter asked S.J. Watson:

I write to applaud your main character, Julia (Second Life). She is so well written in terms of the chaotic nature of grief, how it throws up every single flaw in one's character. I went through the sudden and traumatic death of a family member; I was overjoyed to read grief written as it really can be; illogical, chaotic, selfish, an exposition in personality flaws, sex with a stranger just one of them.Thank-you?

S.J. Watson Thank you - I tried hard to write Julia's grief in a believable way so that's a lovely compliment. I'm so sorry to hear about your own loss.
