Tracy Varner
Tracy Varner asked Rysa Walker:

I'm so excited for Time's Divide. I have thoroughly enjoyed the previous books in the series and I can't wait to see what coming next. I am curious... What method do you use to keep the various timelines organized across your novels/novellas? There are so many threads that I can't imagine what it must be like trying to tie all of the loose ends together for Book 3 without creating some sort of accidental incongruity!

Rysa Walker Thanks for the question, Tracy! For the most part, I kept the story organized in my head, but I also jotted down notes and went back through several times with each book and novella to make sure my timelines were in synch. These characters and the story were always very real inside my head and I had a lot of character sketches that helped me keep things relatively straight. That's one reason the novellas emerged. Early on, I started writing down things from Kiernan's and Prudence's perspective, among others, to track their travels, so to speak. Those notes eventually took the form of Time's Echo and Time's Mirror, and there will probably be another one from Simon's perspective at some point.

I also had an amazing team of beta readers who know the story almost as well as I do by now. They were pretty good about telling me if something was too confusing. And I had the benefit of a wonderful developmental editor, Marianna Baer. She caught one blooper in the last few chapters that slipped right past me.

My head is kind of glad that the next series isn't time travel, however. Still science fiction, but everything happens in *one* timeline. Thanks again for reading!! :)
