Leah Thomas The sequel will TOTALLY be about that! I mean, that's what the series is about. Friends, fellow weirdies.
With regards to Zankyou no Terror -- I actually sold BYNMM to my publisher back in 2013, before the anime existed! But I adore Shinichiro/Watanabe and Yoko Kanno (Kids on the Slope is my favorite!), so I totally watched the series as it aired and yeah, I can see it as almost a parallel story to my book: like, in the darkest timeline, could kids like Ollie and Moritz be terrorists? This is a terrifying idea! I want to believe that friendship will save them from such a fate. Gave me chills. :)

Firstly I wanted to thank you for two amazing books that both made me cry and made me feel less alone (I was only diagnosed with Asperger's in my late 30s and felt just like Moritz growing up). My question is: how do you manage to write two distinct first person voices so successfully? Do you actually hear both boys' voices in your head or is it something you can learn as a writer or is just that you are a genius?
