I am sorry I didn't reply sooner! My advice would be to let the characters lead you. Let the plot form around them rather than trying to squeeze them into a plot. This doesn't work for all stories, but Ollie and Moritz made choices as I was writing that helped them become realer people as the book progressed.

I just finished Because You'll Never Meet Me, and I fell in love with Ollie and Mortiz. I will hopefully be getting Nowhere Near Me soon also. It was a beautiful novel and I think you did a amazing job. I have two questions for you. One, where did you get the idea for Because You'll Never Meet Me, and two, will this book ever hit the big screen and become a movie? (Please tell me yes!)
