Do you write from a novel outline template or do you let the story take you where it wants to go? Thank you.

Martha Carr I write from a template - conspiracy thrillers are complicated and doing a series is even more complicated so I need a skeleton to start with and then I build from there. Usually keep about 3 to 4 chapters ahead with detailed outlines. Makes it easier to keep everyone straight and keep the multiple plot lines working.
