Hi K - That's a great question. Long story - I have a learning disability in math (discalculus) and can't see numbers very well, which makes marketing really tough. I found a great solution and have sold all the titles in the universe I was creating to LMBPN and Michael Anderle. Hence, why the books left and are now back under a new banner! And a new universe name - Terranavis. So The Adventures of Maggie Parker are all rolling out with book 4 as well, along with The Witches of Pressler Street and The Adventures of Finnegan Dragonbender. It's been a huge blessing that someone like me who can write found someone like Michael who can market. Thanks again for asking, Martha

I partnered with a group to do the audio. Let me check with them to see the schedule. Thank you for all the reader love! Greatly appreciated. Have you checked out the new series too - The Peabrain's Idea

The Leira Chronicles starts off the universe and explains a lot about how things started and the bigger picture. However, you can start any of these series and enjoy them without that perspective. Totally up to you... And on 9/29 another series - Midwestern Magic series starts as well and then on 10/9 The Fairhaven Chronicles start! As usual, on release day the books will be .99 cents for 24 hours. (Rule of Magic is out 9/27 and the next books in Soul Stone Mage is 10/4 and in Kacy Chronicles is 10/2)

Geez, my personal mysteries are more like, why can't I lose these 20 pounds or what was my motivation to write one long epic thriller over 6 books? Fortunately, I don't have any of the twisty, conspiracy junkie type thrillers going on in my reality...but...the best conspiracies are the ones you wake up in the middle of and realize it was swirling around you for years.

My first job was working as a teenager in the White House (yeah, that White House), selling tourist books in the North Portico. Politics was what the town ran on and I got to see from behind the scenes how deals are really made, which fascinated me. I thought it would be fun to take it to a bigger, darker place that is full of twists and turns.

When I'm in the middle of writing a book - which these days means always - some part of my brain is listening all the time for fun things to add and they pop up. I leave myself notes on my phone and that helps. I also have consultants I can ask technical questions and they give such cool answers that it gets me going on the next plot twist. I'm a geek at heart.

I sit down and stare at the screen, work on the outline, make myself write something. Helps to have goals like a word count or a page count. Even if it turns out to not be my best work, it's easier to edit so-so prose than a blank screen.

I write from a template - conspiracy thrillers are complicated and doing a series is even more complicated so I need a skeleton to start with and then I build from there. Usually keep about 3 to 4 chapters ahead with detailed outlines. Makes it easier to keep everyone straight and keep the multiple plot lines working.

Creating an entire world that gets readers to think about their own situations and then having that conversation that makes all of it come to life.

Be true to yourself, first and always. There will be a lot of good ideas that come along but whatever drove you to start writing is what's perfect for you. Trust that instinct and you'll always love what you do.

I'm currently working on The Circle, the 3rd book in The Wallis Jones series that will be out in March 2015
