One of two things happens: Either I get an idea for an article or book that really clings to my brain. The only way to get it out, I have found, is to write about it. The second way that I get inspired is from the mundane of my day-to-day life. Sometimes a conversation with a friend, a scene from a movie, or something that I read will spark an idea that I want to pursue.
