Can someone please explain why doesn't she use pronouns? Is this common anywhere, or in any situation? "...Wish was Dead. Am never, going to drink again for the rest of life... Could really fancy some chips..." (around 22% in) *English is not my first language

Kelly It's a personal diary. No pronouns necessary. Some people use pronouns when they write in a diary; others don't. The author chose not to for Bridget.
Molly Mulligan For me, the lack of pronouns added to the humor of the book in many instances. I'm not sure why, but it just did, and I think the author may have intended this. I also felt that this gave Bridget a distinct voice and helped me feel like I was actually 'in' Bridget's head.
Constanza I think she does it to save time. She is writing a diary that is supposed to be only for herself, nobody else will read it, right? :)
Orinoco Womble (tidy bag and all) A lot of the "diary entries" actually take place in her mind---obviously she wouldn't be scribbling entries with time signatures seconds apart, particularly not at work. Most people think in scraps of images or phrases, not complete sentences.
J.C. Harroway Think It might also be a slightly posh British thing...
Carol-Ann Godbout I also don't get it and it infuriated me to read. I know it's a diary but even when I was 10 years old I wrote the pronouns at the start of the sentence in my diary...
Bayou des Cannes Cajun It is a diary.
