It is …moreYes, the movie Home is based on this book. Though, from what I can tell from the book summary, the movie was much more brilliant than the book. It is for a young age group, but in the perspective of a writer, the movie was brilliant (i.e., fantastic plot, fantastic culture development, surprisingly rational/ almost realistic, realistic character motivations, and as far as I can tell, there were no plot holes. In fact, the movie tied things together that may have seemed like a mention-it-once-and-never-mention-it-again sort of thing, so that those seemingly unimportant events had meaning and/or purpose later on. Even before the movie, there was a DreamWorks trademark animation (the boy fishing from a crescent moon) that was altered slightly and that practically summarized the entire movie).
