I just love your writing - when I pick up one of your books, I know I won't want to put it down until I've finished. Do you plan your books in detail, or do you start writing and see where your characters take you?
Maria V. Snyder
Hi Karen! I'm glad my books are hard to put down :). I don't plan my books in detail - I have a general idea of where the story starts and where I want it to go, but I discover the details as I write and if I don't end up where I thought, that's okay, too. I have to write a synopsis for my editor to approve before I start a book, however she's learned not to get too attached to that synopsis because the finished book never matches it!

A lot people are asking all the intelligent-sounding questions, but I just wanna know a couple thing about the Chronicles of Ixia characters:
What Leif's favourite food?
How big of a role will Valek's family play in future books? (I screamed all the way through Night Study haha)
I ship Onora with Janco because they are so cute, can you tell me how close they will get to becoming canon?
Thanks, Rachel :)

Love the study series. Are you considering writing more books from that universe? Would really like to read a book about Valek and Yelenas wedding. I am really curious about how it was when Valek meet Yelenas parents for the first time, and Valeks parents meeting the rest of the herd. Also would love to have the entire poison study book from Valeks POV, love the 1st chapter :)

Hey Maria, I was just wondering why the study series is often classified as Young Adult? Yelena was 19 (I believe?) in Poison Study, isn't that a bit older than the average YA heroine? In saying that, regardless of what the series is classified as.. it is absolutely brilliant! Keep up the good work!!
