Hey Maria, I was just wondering why the study series is often classified as Young Adult? Yelena was 19 (I believe?) in Poison Study, isn't that a bit older than the average YA heroine? In saying that, regardless of what the series is classified as.. it is absolutely brilliant! Keep up the good work!!

Hi Sylvia! I'm glad you enjoyed the book. 19 is a bit older for a YA heroine and when I wrote Poison Study, I considered it an adult fantasy novel and that's how it was published back in 2005. Then I kept getting emails from YA readers who loved the book and didn't care about Yelena's age and then Twilight hit big and all the publishers were looking to release YA books. So they re-packaged Poison Study as YA. Interesting side note - I'm only published as a YA writer in both the UK and Australia.

A lot people are asking all the intelligent-sounding questions, but I just wanna know a couple thing about the Chronicles of Ixia characters:
What Leif's favourite food?
How big of a role will Valek's family play in future books? (I screamed all the way through Night Study haha)
I ship Onora with Janco because they are so cute, can you tell me how close they will get to becoming canon?
Thanks, Rachel :)

Dear Maria, Thank you for writing such amazing fiction that I have thoroughly enjoyed reading for the past 12 years and continue to do so! I just wondered (if you have any time to spare at all) if you wouldn't mind having a look at my book ‘Pink Club’ its a small series of 4 books and the second book will be out this summer. This section just says ask a question so I hope its ok to ask this here?
