I started the series on the recommendation of a client who suggested The Beautiful Mystery. I liked the story and Louise Penny"s writing so much that I bought all the books before that and read them in order. Then continued with the rest of the series. Each book is a stand alone, but she leaves something unresolved or open at the end of each book. You will want to read the next, and the next and the next!(less)
