Honestly, most of my ideas come out of thin air. Sometimes I start with a “what if” scenario, but most times I start with a character and a setting and I just go from there. Revenge was inspired by a camping trip of all things. On the way home, my husband was driving and I was lounging in the passenger seat staring at the hay fields and the faded billboards along the highway and the opening scene just sort of climbed into my head and I went from there.
