I was simply wondering if anyone had an idea as to who the lady in the veil is, towards the end of the novel? My guess leans towards Paraleia, Alexandro's mother, but I am not certain.

Also, Paraleia promised Leonidas she would be a model wife and mother, so it could be seen as a violation of that promise if she were to linger over a grave more than the other women.(less)
