I absolutely adore all your books. I have read each one at least 4 or 5 times. I love how kickass your females are and of course the sexy alpha males. I am a writer and was wondering what it is you do for your process of writing. What things have you found helpful while you are creating? Any advice would be helpful. Can't wait to read all of the new stories you will share with the world. Shoshanna

Hey Shoshanna,
Well, girl, I'm afraid I may not be very helpful. I reckon I could write every waking minute (if life and work allowed it...and I know this because I used to do just that!).
It's hard for me to get the flow to stop. So I don't really have a process or need anything to turn the floodgates on (knock on wood, get up and dance the voodoo dance of luck that nothing will hex that goodness!).
I know I prefer to be at my desk (but can get into it anywhere). I also know I have to have NO distractions (music or a TV on in the house or things like that). And last, I know that I'm best if I start first thing in the morning. If I start doing something else that takes my focus or attention, it's harder to get in the swing of things. I can hit it, but I'm never quite as productive. These are just little idiosyncrasies of mine.
So my only advice is to find your groove. All I say is nothing if that's not your gig. You might be a nightowl. You might need distraction to find focus. Just try things on for size and go with what fits. Write YOUR story. Find YOUR voice. Write what YOU like to read. Don't worry what folks will think about it, just enjoy the hell out of it while you're doing it. Inject your passion in it. And then hopefully you'll fall in love with your process.
All the best of luck, my lovely!

Hello, Kristen! You have so many strong male characters with careers in the military. My cousin came home from Afghanistan after having lost most of her left leg to an IED. Her struggle to reintegrate as a female veteran was heartbreaking and beautiful...but I find that these stories are few and far between. Your stories are lovely, regardless, but I was just wondering if you'd ever considered a heroine veteran?

I've asked a question to you before but I wanted to know why in the first 4 books of the Colorado Mountain series the heroine is kidnapped at the end and its a race against time to find her, whereas in book 5&6 none of that happens? One of the main scenes that occurs throughout the series that makes it that much more better, you've essentially cut out for the other two book? Just wondering why this is.
