I did, once upon a time, toy with the idea of trying to untangle the stories and having the historicals all historical and the Colin and Eloise all together-- but I came to the conclusion that while the historical books would probably stand on their own, the Eloise and Colin chapters were too dependent on the historical story to read smoothly by themselves. So much of those chapters deal with what Eloise has been reading/discovering that they would be a very choppy read. One of these days, I'd love to write a mystery novel featuring Colin and Eloise-- but that would be a totally new, separate book.
