I've always thought it interesting that your books are set in different time periods and places, unlike some historical fiction authors who specialize in one time. Is there a historical period that you like best?

There really isn't. I love Colonial America. It's one of my favorites. I love any time period in France. And, of course, Egypt. The women who came before us fascinate me wherever they're from.
