Hi, how did you like the movie version of girl with the pearl earring? Thank you.

Tracy Chevalier I liked it. I was relieved, mostly. They didn't ruin it or set it in Detroit or use a ridiculous actress for the girl. We were lucky to get Scarlett Johannson at the start of her career - and of course Colin Firth. The cinematography, the costumes, the music, it all came together and felt like the book but also like its own self.
