Why do you like witches so much?

Paula Brackston Hi Leah, well, they just give me so much scope. I mean, the attraction for me was writing about strong women in a historical context, and once I started looking into it, there are so many different types of magic and different kinds of witches, I was inspired! And haven't we all at some point wished we had the power of magic, to heal someone, or be braver, or put someone in their place, or change things? I confess I am not a witch myself, however, which I know disappoints some of my readers!
