What book have you written that you consider your favorite, or what book are you most proud of?

Philippa Gregory Hi Ashlynn. I am proud of them all. I always think you have to write the very best you can, and if you don’t love it then the readers won’t either. The Other Boleyn Girl will always mean a lot to me – it brought me so much success – but my favourite is usually the book I’ve just finished, in this case The Taming of the Queen. Taming surprised me as I’ve resisted tackling Kateryn Parr for some time. I never thought she’d excite me but I couldn’t be more wrong – she’s wonderful and much, much more that the traditional history would lead you to believe.

I came to your work through an unusual route: I read about your work with the exiled Chagossian people and came to be a big fan of your novels. For that reason I've always wondered if you had saw parallels between the high drama old English monarchies and the Machiavellian way Chagossians were treated by modern UK governments? And have you ever considered writing a novel about the Chagossians' experience?
