What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Benjamin Obler Work hard and be patient. Treat it like you want to be a sprinter or decathlete. You have to train and work your life around it. That includes make sacrifices. I watched a ton of TV as a kid, but when I really got serious, that fell away. I watched Lost and The Wire on treadmills a decade ago, but since then, nothing. So what? I have 2 more book manuscripts finished and a lot of short stories.
