Arthur
Arthur asked Kevin Sylvester:

Was it a crazy amount of research for MINRS? Or did you already have a strong background in science?

Kevin Sylvester Sorry it's taken me so long to see this. I've had a lifelong love for science, spending huge amount of each summer at the Air and Space Museum in DC for example. So the book is more an assemblage of bits and pieces I've picked up over the intervening 40 years.

I am also interested in how mining works here on earth and worried about whether some of those same practises will continue in space.

Of course, while writing the first draft I would constantly try to check out what NASA (for example) has planned for space travel, tear-forming, and so on.
