I liked Camille a thousand times better after her exchange with Richard about sexism. I realize some people will be bothered by some of the ideas voiced in this part. How did other readers feel about it?

I think it depends on each case and although a lot of people nowadays react negatively to anything that is about "feminism", this was written at a time before that. I think that passage was supposed to show how the protagonist is taking control of her body (this book was about how one lets others do things to you to get what you want and how the intent to harm is either projected outward or inward).(less)
