It definitely is more "young-adult"-esque than his adult novels, such as Mistborn and Stormlight, but honestly, I liked it more than his Reckoner's series. I thought the world-building and depth to the magic system had a depth to it that kept me entertained and intrigued throughout (it has a very cosmere feel to the magic....if you don't know what that means go look it up and your mind will be blown). Yes, there were parts that would be funny to teens/tweens that for me made me roll my eyes, but I would recommend this book to anyone interested in good storytelling , world-building, and interesting magic mechanics. (less)
