Does this book have a childish tone to it (like Neil Gaiman's Interworld), as in a teenager feel? Or is it proper adult fantasy which a 24 year old can enjoy...

It gave me worst Harry Potter vibes (spoiler warning): "Oh noes, the Big Bad is still here and will probably do bad things, but I will be here and stop him! Because no one is better predisposed to it than my 16 year old self". But that was only last chapter, rest of book was sensible. Didn't read Interworld so can't compare.(less)
