Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

R.E. Carr Funny thing... I had suffered from crippling writer's block for years, and finally over lunch at work I was prodded into a diatribe about the overuse of vampires in modern fiction. This may or may not have continued for about three days until my lovely best-intern-ever, dared me with "well can you do better?". My friends at work promptly gave me a list of restrictions such as "we never see a ginger vampire" or "why don't you name one something like Steve?". Thus Four was born, a vampire comedy born out of a dare, from a woman who both adores the genre and occasionally gets frustrated by it.
