Brent Weeks I would choose Paul of Tarsus for the readership and master of compound complex sentences; Ernest Hemingway to rein in Paul of Tarsus and bring the party; and Brandon Sanderson to make sure we met our deadlines!

When you set out to write, how often do you find yourself in the dilemma between writing what you think other people will satisfied with and what will satisfy you? Is there a middle ground?

In your writing, you haven't shied away from LGBT characters, often making them strong and sympathetic characters, which I greatly appreciate. And I think my boyfriend would greatly enjoy reading your work... so what would you recommend to get him to reading: have the Night Angel torture and judge him, have Andross Guile blackmail and extort him into reading, or something else?
