On page 224 Frieda and Abram Kaufman when the woman opens the door, Kate puts her age at about 35. This would have made her 5 years old when the disappearance t took place, yet Frieda talks as if she were Nolt's age or even older. Did I miss something? Or perhaps skip something...or am I simply misunderstanding the time-line?

It surprised me because I've never had this happen to me while reading Castillo's books. The inconsistencies didn't hamper my enjoyment of the story, but it did make me wonder if she has changed editors.(less)
